This study was conducted during my internship with Docon, a subsidiary of Pharmeasy, where I worked as a User Experience Research and Design intern alongside the design team and product managers. Pharmacy is an online pharmacy company. Their goal is to make quality and affordable healthcare accessible to one and all. Under Pharmeasy I worked for a company named Docon. DocOn is one stop to a digital clinic, it was designed to enable a superior Doctor-Patient interaction. It was founded in 2013 and is based in Bengaluru. This product enables doctors to consult, write a prescription and maintain patient history digitally and unobtrusively. Reception, CRM {Customer relationship management), Billing and patient modules ensure great patient engagement. The initial project brief was to" EXPLORE PRACTICE MANAGEMENT FOR HEALTHCARE PROVIDER, TO IMPROVE DOCON’S PRODUCT EXPERIENCE" I was expected to focus on Practice management systems that shall help physicians and their staff to perform their daily activities seamlessly and reduce the pressure from the Doctors so that they can focus in their medical practice and not divide focus between care providing and business: administration and organization. I then started by focusing on DocOn’s core intent “enable a superior Doctor-Patient interaction” and understanding the users, their needs, behaviors, thoughts, emotions and feelings, actions, pressures, dilemmas, uncertainties & complexities, studying practice management offline & online. Audit starting with: what is DocOn, all about? Its users, elements, products, user journey, processes & channels. During the research, it came out that practice management is performed differently by various doctor specialties and has its unique needs. Hence with the company's validation and goals, I worked on a solution for "Blood Sugar Monitoring" for diabetes patients under Endocrinologist & Diabetalogost. My solution was an extended module with final ui screens for the Docon doctor-patient app.
