Sysnopsis

India has nearly 3,000 unique Arts & Crafts, many of which are as old as Indian civilization and embody India’s intellectual and aesthetic properties. A few quotes or statements are insufficient to convey the prominence that India has on the global stage as a result of its vibrant and distinct culture. The country’s vibrant culture attracts many travelers, an amalgamation of religions, festivals, food, art, crafts, dance, music, and many other subtle things. This document encompasses the Inlay practice in different parts of India and various possibilities to build a new bridge between two fine generational age-old techniques. It is a humble attempt to explore materials and experiments concerning the furniture market executed unconventionally. This attempt results in a range of statement pieces with an essence of India yet has a global market value as the world looks up to our great Nation regarding Design. What does our beautiful, rich, and vibrant culture have to offer to the Design World? Everything built will last a lifetime or generations and will always hold its value too. The functional aspects of the range should also be in conjunction with the intent of the furniture being a conversation catalyst. Also, being the moment of birth of collaboration with the Lac craft sector in the furniture industry, it must take place in the closest to the most holistic manner. This could be a stepping stone in making the designer one of the few contributors to the betterment of the Lac craft sector.
