This document is a compact yet detailed description of the graduation project by Prithviraj Dutta who is pursuing his master’s degree at the National Institute of Design. The project was completed under guidance of Mr. Pravinsinh Solanki and the sponsorship and support of Mayank Exports, Jodhpur, rajasthan . During my first few days at Mayank exports, the first thing I did was try to understand the team, how a design setup works, the quality of the furniture they made, and their sense of aesthetics. I also tried to use the resources that were already there to get used to this new environment. Making and managing a workspace with a team of artisans successfully in a mutually beneficial learning environment was a solid conclusion to a journey that I believe every designer ought to go through. My observation and communication skills are sharpened by working with local artisans and selecting hardware by contacting local vendors. I was able to expand my range of abilities as a result, which in turn led to profound growth an d learning. With the consistent help and devoted direction from my mentor PravinSinh Solanki, I had the option to place in my most extreme exertion in the undertaking’s satisfaction. . It started with the brand study, the design process, which included research, analysis, and form exploration, among other things. From there, it moved on to the actual manufacturing, material handling, joinery exploration, and finishes, among other things. The whole span of the graduation project at Mayank exports has been an open door with bunch of involvement and openness to the plan business and is reflected through the course of the record.
