Sysnopsis

This project emerged as a remarkable opportunity to delve into my burgeoning interest in the domain of designing for children and play. It encompasses the creation of a playground tailored specifically for kids, approached from the perspective of product design. The overarching objective was to introduce a novel and distinctive concept to the market while remaining conscientious about crucial factors such as ease of production, production costs, utilization of sustainable materials, and space optimization.

The resultant outcome, named "Red Tongue," features an array of whimsical characters, each sharing a common characteristic - a tongue-shaped slide. The characters' simplistic forms are built upon a standardized structure or frame, facilitating a diverse range of designs. This standardized approach streamlines production scaling and reduces production time. The structure comprises two levels of decks, each offering a distinct set of engaging activities. The process of crafting different characters entails simply enveloping the structure with character-specific wooden planks. Additionally, each character incorporates play equipment tailored to its unique theme, enhancing the overall play value of the playground space.

Throughout the project, I have encountered invaluable learning experiences, accompanied by their respective challenges. This endeavor has provided profound insights into the niche industry of playgrounds and has deepened my understanding of the intricate subject of 'play' and its significance in human lives. Encouraged by this positive experience, I am eager to further explore and contribute to the domain of play.

I fervently anticipate witnessing "Red Tongue" materialize in the real world in the near future.
