This project was taken up by Design Circuit, New Delhi to re-design the studio and newsroom space of Puthiya Thalaimurai, a renowned news channel in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The TV channel is operated by "The New Generation Media Corporation" of Chennai. Notably, the channel has recently completed a decade of operation in the industry and has a massive viewership in Tamil Nadu. Puthiya Thalaimurai has a brand image of being reliable and transparent with its audience. The premises will include a newsroom for reporters, breakout areas, and studio spaces. The studios will have multi-sets that will transform to complement the news story or the show time slot. The project encompasses the creation of various sets within the studio space to cater to diverse content requirements. Some of these sets may incorporate collapsible designs or possess the capability to merge into larger, more expansive configurations. The primary objective is to provide the team with the adaptability required to customize and align the set with each show's specific mood and demands. The project acknowledges the need for the newsroom to serve as a symbol of reliability and credibility, reaffirming the channel's commitment to providing trustworthy and transparent journalism to its audience.
