Like all organizations, Walmart is also trying to use this ‘fertile soil’ to make better decisions. Everybody is trying to get Value out of Data.
But this is not as simple as it reads. It's a long road, with a lot of processes. All these processes are dependent on each other and most importantly on ‘Data Governance’, it is the discipline that provides the necessary policies, processes, standards, roles and responsibilities needed to ensure that data is managed as an asset.
This Graduation Project aims to design a next-generation tool to provide stakeholders with an action-oriented way to handle, control and deliver data & information assets so that it brings consistency, uniformity and compatibility of data across various departments and enables users to take rational decisions and adds the most value to the business.
The Project also aims to create a comprehensive solution that can handle large amounts of data and provide Users with valuable insights.
The Project followed the Double Diamond Process, starting with Primary and Secondary Research, and moving on to synthesizing. Then came the second diamond of design and delivery.
data.wal strives to bring together all the touch points in a single place. It is reducing the learning curve by handholding upfront. The conversational interface helps users get rid of navigational issues. Contextual AI suggestions help in reducing human error.
Overall, data.wal is a next-generation, action-oriented tool that will help businesses make informed decisions and drive growth.
