Sysnopsis

As a National Institute of Design (NID) student specialising in Design for Retail Experience, I've had the incredible opportunity to immerse myself in the dynamic world of design and innovation. The multidisciplinary approach taught during this course taught me retail Research and technology, consumer behaviour, system thinking, and experiential design, all woven around products and services.

For the final graduation project, the intent was to apply learnings from the curriculum to real-life products. I aimed to select a Retail consumer-based company where I could have a chance to learn new technology and work on different projects. Collaborating closely with Tata Digital's visionary team, I had the privilege of working on the Tata Neu application, a cutting-edge platform at the intersection of physical and digital retail.

Keeping in mind the specialisation in the field of retail design, I chose a project with Tata Digital that centred around enhancing the customer journey for an Omnichannel Experience where I would get a chance to study user behaviour and their unmet needs while buying appliances, Research the market and think of phygital level solution to connect Online and offline shopping Journey to make it seamless.

The topic was discussed and chosen with my mentor and manager, keeping in mind the scope of exploration, interaction with stakeholders and the importance of the business.

Working on this project has not only honed my design and problem-solving skills but has also instilled in me a profound appreciation for the transformative power of design in the retail sector. I am excited to continue my journey, armed with the knowledge and experiences gained at NID, to shape the future of retail through innovative, user-centric solutions.
