This project aimed to solve for collaborative and synchronisation opportunities among various business stakeholders by leveraging communication platforms (Slack) and adopting automotive cloud use cases for the Slack Integration. The ultimate goal is to simplify, enhance and amplify the collaborative use cases amongst service providers that can eventually elevate customer and vehicle retail experiences.
The challenge was not only to address the integration of Slack’s existing capabilities but also to take this opportunity to explore future possibilities for how it would benefit the automotive cloud ecosystem and its various stakeholders. The ask was also to explore concepts that increase productivity and connectivity but also scale across other Salesforce Clouds.
The project demanded developing an understanding of two domains; an industry (Automotive) and a product (Slack). Understanding the end-to-end connection of all the stakeholders involved, from Suppliers to Manufacturers, Dealers, Customers, and then to Aggregators like Ola Uber. And then conceptualise and design a framework that connects relevant Automotive Retail collaboration, connection, and other scenarios to Slack, a salesforce platform. The project timeline of 16 weeks for this project at the company required constant collaboration with stakeholders to nail down the scope.
