Sysnopsis

The project started with Whirlpool aiming to innovate in the cooking domain. And In the dynamic landscape of 2030, understanding and catering to the unique needs of Generation Z is paramount. So "Z-ooming In" was about delving into the world of Gen Z, Understanding the frictions they face while cooking AND ultimately designing an experience for their kitchen of 2030, which they would truly come to love.

The process began by decoding the core traits of Gen Z and envisioning how these traits might evolve by 2030. This foresight provided crucial insights for the subsequent design phase. Extensive research followed, involving in-depth examinations of their behaviours, habits, and preferences through desktop studies, interviews, and surveys. From this, personas were crafted to extract experiential design requirements that would guide the project forward.

Mind maps were then employed to distil the identified pain points and devise innovative solutions. After thorough synthesis, it was noticed that the solution might lay in the realm of mixed reality and augmented reality.

The resulting product, "Seer," redefines the art of cooking through an immersive Mixed Reality Cooking Experience. Users step into a world where cooking is no longer confined to recipes on paper or screens. Seer is adaptive, providing clear, step-by-step guidance at a personalized pace. Alongside dynamic recipe assistance and guided learning, it offers a seamless, touch-minimized interface, ensuring a delightful cooking journey.

In essence, "Seer" serves as a bridge between traditional culinary practices and the future of kitchen technology. It envisions a world where cooking is not merely a task, but an enjoyable adventure, intricately tailored to the unique preferences and behaviors of its users.
