Sysnopsis

The Bhopal-Indore Metro Signage System Project, led by Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL), aims to enhance urban transportation in Bhopal and Indore. The initial metro phase, set for early 2014, covers 7km and 17.5km in Bhopal and Indore respectively. This government initiative focuses on sustainable rail transport for smarter cities.

The project involves designing a signage system that aligns with MPMRCL's identity and reflects the unique character of Bhopal and Indore. The Signage Design Guideline and Specification provide clear directions for station signage, Office signage and Braille Signage ensuring consistency and functionality for stakeholders.

The signage system will be designed with a user-centric approach, taking into consideration the needs of diverse passengers, including commuters, tourists, and people with disabilities. Including a range of signage Such as External, Concourse level and platform level signage. Each sensitising of number of different signage.

The design of the signage system will prioritise clarity, legibility, and consistency to facilitate quick and easy comprehension of information.
It will also adhere to relevant accessibility standards and regulations to ensure inclusivity for all passengers.
