This graduation project comprises of two main projects:
The first project is the design of the March issue for MARG, a pioneer quarterly art magazine in India. This project required an understanding of the basics of publication design, designing and refining layouts and setting up a visual system in place. This magazine is 4th book of a 5 book box set, hence the crucial objective was to respond to the existing design system with dynamism.
The second project involves the conceptualising and designing the template for the 2023-24 series of TARQ catalogues, as well as designing the Catalogue Box for the 2023 set of catalogues. This project, like the first one required an understanding of the basics of publication design, but also needed visual referencing, structuring content, formulating concepts, prototyping, size selection, paper selection, designing and refining layouts, making flatplans and print-ready files, etc.
Although the two projects dealt with art as their topic, the project scopes were completely different, hence requiring different approaches in their design. While in Marg, the goal was to design using the existing template, for Tarq, it was to set up the template.
